  1. 1 SHEILA MAIDMENT

I have such fond memories of my wonderful school, great teachers and past pupils. I would like to wish everyone who is able to make it, a great reunion. I cannot come over, due to my residing in South Africa. Please post my message, if possible and ask anyone who wishes to contact me, who would like to get in touch and were in their final year, 1964/5 please to do so. My email is
    sheila@cross-world.co.za.
    Many thanks
Sheila Maidment ex 48 Pennyland Drive, Thurso.
    now, Durban South Africa.

  2. This message is a test, due to failure of my previous attempt to connect. Obviously, I did not correctly understand the terms “Mail” and “Website.”
I started at THS in 1959, and my final year was 1964/65. I have emailed some old aerial photos to THS website, but am also uncertain if that communication succeeded.
I would also be very pleased to hear from anyone from those days.

Per message from Sheila Maidment, please post this message.

  3. 3 Mrs Leslie Heads nee Cook

I went to Thurso High for just a few months 1961 to 1962 and met Lynne Ainswoth, Sue Nicholas and another girl called Lesley who were my friends. I still have photos of us with another girl called Avril. I used to live in Naver road and we used to go to a cafe called Finaell or something like that. If anyone knows the whereabouts of anyone who remembers me please contact me at fizzoggs@hotmail.com. I now live in Torremolinos Spain.

    Me again.
Dear former pupils, I am surprised to see this blog stuck at “3” responses for so long! Some of us from overseas (e.g.: moi – Canada) have not been to any reunions and now suffer from “whatever happened to . . . . ? ”
Getting close to retiral, it would be good to catch up. So, come on, admit it — do you “blether” through some different means such as Facebook ?
And yes – how long did Grannie Gunn go on teaching Burns at any chance she got?
I sure appreciate what she taught me.
